1. They pigeon was important because it saved David's family's life. It was also important because it was a companion to David. It was also a sign tat they were not alone.'
2. The conditions over all were awful overall and im surprised they call it a vaction camp. They might call it a vacation camp because this was your final detenation. Also they might call it that to make them believe things are getting better.
