1.I think they feel that their son may not be alive any more. I also think that they know that they're taking up space. They also want to leave because of all the woman that have been raped and dragged into the fields.
2.I don't think that they should have left him behind because what if he shows up?. I also agree with them because things were getting out of hand, with all the drunk men and everything else like having to dig the trash for food.
3. Why do you think Yoko has changed so much, do you notice any major diffrence?

1. I agree about Hideyo. I also put that too. Well they are taking up peoples space but everyones doing that so... ya. Ya I also agree with the last part about girls being raped. I put that too.
2. I agree. For my answer, I also put that they should go but stay for Hideyo's sake. Yes, it was good of them to leave beciase girls were being raped and because of the drunks.
3. Yes I do. She getting stornger. She doesn't whine as much anymore. I think she wants to be noble like Ko. She changed when she had to see the doctor and when she was walking to the boat. No whining. She getting older and wiser. Good job!

3) I think she changed so much because she has felt pain and had never felt it before. Also because her pain with the chest and ear makes her even more stronger because it is the worst pain she has. Also that she is more fortunate than the people in the train that were injuried
